Each film coated tablet contains:
Vardenafil Hydrochloride Trihydrate USP
eq. to Vardenafil 10 mg
Vardenafil hydrochloride is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor and is used to treat erectile dysfunction. It works by increasing the blood flow to the penis during intercourse and causes erection.
Penile erection is initiated by relaxation of the corpus cavernosum and increases the release of nitric oxide at the nerve endings and activates the guanylate synthesis or increased cyclic guanosine monophosphate in the smooth muscles
Indications
Mechanism of Action
It is the inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate i.e. specifically it inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5.
Thus, through inhibition the blood flow increases causes erection of penis.
